The real difference
One records what you did. The other records what you promised first.
A broker sync is a beautiful piece of engineering and it will never know why you entered. It sees a fill. It cannot see that you had already decided, that morning, to take no more than two trades, and that this was the fourth.
Traily asks before the fill exists. That is the whole design: a checklist you wrote, cleared or honestly broken, attached to the trade. Everything downstream — the streak, the calendar, the weekly review, the comparison between the trades you took by the book and the ones you did not — falls out of that one fact.
Choose TradeZella if
You want automatic imports from a long list of brokers, you backtest seriously, you want trade replay, and an AI layer over your data sounds useful. It is the broader platform and it does not pretend otherwise.
Choose Traily if
Your strategy is not the problem. You already know what you should be doing and you keep not doing it. You want a tool that scores that, tells your buddy about it, and never once shows your profit and loss to anybody.
They are not mutually exclusive. Several people run a full analytics platform for their numbers and Traily for the part before the click. If you do that, import the same CSV into both — Traily will mark those trades never gated, which is exactly right.
Questions
Is Traily a TradeZella clone?
No. The journal, the analytics and the calendar overlap, because those are table stakes. What is different is that Traily knows whether each trade cleared your own checklist before you clicked, and builds the streak, the day colours and half the analytics on that.
TradeZella syncs with my broker automatically. Traily does not.
Correct, and it is a real trade off. Automatic sync is less typing. It also means a third party holds a key to your account, and it cannot record the one thing Traily exists for: that you stopped and checked your rules before entering. Traily takes the CSV instead and gates the trades as you take them.
What does Traily cost against TradeZella?
