Traily

Journal and analytics

Everything a serious journal does, and one thing none of them do.

Trades, filters, saved views, exports, analytics, a weekly review and a comparison tool. All of it knows something no broker export contains: whether the trade cleared your own checklist before you clicked.

Four tabs

The list, the numbers, the week, and the comparison.

Every trade, sortable and filterable.

Date, instrument, strategy, gate verdict and result, with R and net once the money layer is on. Sorting happens on the server, so a filter over nine hundred trades is the same speed as one over nine.

  • Search across instrument, note, tag and strategy, with date ranges and session filters
  • Save a filter set you keep coming back to and re-apply it with one tap
  • Select rows in bulk, and export exactly what you filtered
  • A banner tells you which trades are missing what your analytics need, and takes you to them

Insights

The pattern you would never have spotted yourself.

Which rule you break most. What you were feeling before you broke it. Which day of the week your discipline goes, which instrument it goes on, and how often breaking a rule still worked out.

That last number is the useful one. A rule break that pays is the reason the habit comes back, and it is the one thing a profit-and-loss chart can never tell you.

  • A heatmap of rule following, not of how often you traded
  • Your setups, each with how many were taken by the book
  • Every feeling you went in with, and what it did to your rules
  • Your best day for discipline, your weakest, and your most active

Calendar

A month you can read in one second.

Every day gets a colour and the colour is decided by your rules. Nothing else. Kept everything is green, one slip is amber, two or more is red, and a day you deliberately stayed out keeps your streak alive.

  • Weekends never break a streak on a weekdays contract
  • Week totals, month totals, and a CSV export of the whole month
  • Close a day you missed up to seven days back, marked honestly as filled in later
  • With money on, a lens toggle puts the result inside the cell, never on it

And around it

A notebook and a playbook, because a journal is not only a table.

Notebook

Weekly reviews, levels, lessons and plans, in folders that each carry a template. One search covers your notes, your day reflections and your trade notes at once. Yours alone: it is never shared with a buddy or a team.

Playbook

A strategy here is not a label, it is a set of criteria that joins your checklist in the gate. Accounts live here too — live, evaluation, funded or demo — each with its own limits, plus your tags for what went wrong and what simply was.

Questions about the journal

Can I export what I am looking at?

Yes, and only what you are looking at. The list and the export share one filter parser, so a filtered journal exports the filtered rows rather than the whole account.

Does it work without the money layer?

Everything except the amounts. Win rate, R, capture, excursion, adherence, streaks and every breakdown work with money switched off, which is how Traily ships by default.

How far back can I go?

As far as your files. There is no window on the journal itself; the analytics offer 30, 90 and 365 day views and the review runs on 7 or 30.

What is R here?

Your risk on that trade, as one unit. It lets the analytics compare a futures trade and a gold trade on the same axis, and it is what the curve falls back to when a scope mixes currencies.
