The gate

The thirty seconds before you click.

This is the part no imported file can ever give you. A broker export proves what you did. It cannot prove what you promised yourself first.

The Traily pre-trade checklist with every rule ticked and the trader cleared to trade

How it runs

Your rules, plus the criteria of the setup you picked.

Your contract holds the rules that always apply: max two trades a day, no revenge trade, stop at two losses, whatever you wrote when you were calm. Your playbook holds a strategy per setup, and each strategy carries its own entry and exit criteria.

Choose the setup in the gate and both lists appear on one checklist. Tick everything and you are cleared. Tick most of it and the trade is still logged, marked honestly as a break.

  • Instrument comes from your own previous values, never free text, so your analytics stay comparable
  • Archive a rule instead of deleting it, so old trades keep the meaning of their verdict
  • Up to eight screenshots per trade, before and after, with captions
  • The result, the feeling and the note come after the trade, not before it

Cleared

Everything ticked. This is the trade you will want to look at in a month, whatever it did.

Broke a rule

Logged in full, marked for what it was. The honest ones are where the whole product earns its keep.

Never gated

Imported or added afterwards. It has no verdict, and it is counted apart — never quietly folded in as a break.

The parts nobody asks for until they need them

Four things in the gate that exist because trading is not tidy.

Sixty seconds, enforced

Say you feel rushed, frustrated or in FOMO and the button changes. A full screen timer runs out before you can continue. You can still take the trade. You just cannot take it in the next minute.

A position size calculator that rounds down

Entry, stop, risk as an amount or a percentage, and what one point is worth. It always rounds down, because a size that rounds up quietly breaks the only number you actually decided. Nothing it computes is stored.

Prop firm headroom, and nothing else

The only money allowed anywhere near the gate, and only when room is running out: you have this much left against your own limit today. It never shows you the day's profit and loss while you are deciding.

It starts the session for you

No setup ritual required. If no session is open when you reach the gate, one opens. The morning check in is there when you want it and never in the way when you do not.

Questions about the gate

Does it slow me down?

Four ticks takes about ten seconds. The pause is the point on the days you are rushing, and on the days you are calm you barely notice it.

What if I break a rule anyway?

Then log it as a break. Traily records the trade either way and marks it for exactly what it was. A clean sheet that never happened is worth nothing to you in three weeks.

Can I have different rules for different setups?

Yes. Your contract carries the rules that always apply, and each strategy in your playbook carries its own criteria. Pick the strategy in the gate and both lists appear on the same checklist.

What happens if I feel terrible?

You say so, and if the feeling is one of the risky ones the button changes to Take 60 seconds. A full screen timer runs out before you can continue. It is the cheapest thing in the product and the one people mention most.
