For prop firm traders
Evaluations are rarely failed by the strategy.
They are failed on day nine, twenty minutes after the second stop out, by a trade that was never in the plan. You knew the rule. You have known it for months. Traily is built for exactly that moment.
Built for the evaluation
Four things that matter when somebody else's rules end your account.
Your firm's limits, typed once
Daily loss limit, max drawdown, whether it trails your balance, and the profit target. Traily works out your headroom and warns you inside the gate when it is running out: you have this much room left against your own limit today.
It never shows your profit and loss while you decide
The headroom warning is the only money allowed near the gate, and it appears only when room is short. Seeing the day's number while choosing whether to take a trade is how the day gets worse.
An account is a book
Evaluation, funded, live and demo are four different books with four different sets of rules. Filter the journal, the calendar and the insights to one of them and the noise from the others disappears.
A contract with an end date
Sign for seven, thirty, sixty or ninety days — the same shape as the evaluation in front of you. The streak counts the days you kept your word, not the days you were green.
The number that ends most challenges
Your third trade.
Almost every trader who fails an evaluation has a maximum trades rule, and almost every one of them can tell you the exact day they broke it. The problem is never knowing. The problem is that at the moment it matters, the rule is an idea and the setup is on the screen.
A checklist makes the rule a thing you have to physically step over. You can still take the trade — Traily will log it and mark it honestly — but you will have made the decision out loud, and on Sunday you will see exactly what it cost.
Questions from prop traders
Does Traily connect to my prop firm?
No. You type your firm’s limits in once — daily loss, drawdown, whether it trails, and the target — and Traily warns you against them. Nothing holds a key to your evaluation account.
Can I run an evaluation and a funded account at the same time?
Yes. Each account is its own book, with its own kind and its own limits, and you can filter the journal, the insights and the calendar to one book at a time.
What happens when my evaluation ends?
Your contract and your history stay exactly where they are. Start a new contract against the new account and your streak keeps running, because a streak is about days you kept your word, not about which book you traded.
Will my team or buddy see that I failed a challenge?
They will see the day colours and the streak. They will never see an account, a balance, a drawdown or a result. Failing an evaluation is not visible to anybody in Traily.
Sign a contract the length of your evaluation.
