The trading journal that scores your discipline, not your P&L.
Write your own rules. Clear them on a checklist before every trade. Traily keeps the full journal, the analytics and the calendar that every other tool keeps — and then answers the question none of them ask: did you actually follow your own plan?
Works in your browser and on your phone. No download, no card, no broker connection.

Why Traily exists
Every other journal asks what you made. This one asks whether you kept your word.
You can break every rule you have and still close green. That is not luck being kind to you, that is the trap: the trade that paid is the reason the habit comes back, and the habit is what ends the account three months later.
So Traily splits your history in two and puts the two halves next to each other. The trades you took by the book, and the trades you did not. Same trader, same market, same week. It is the one comparison no other journal can print, because no other journal knows what your rules were before you clicked.
All your tools
A full trading journal. Plus the part that is missing from all of them.
Everything you would expect from a serious journal is here, and it is built around one extra fact: whether the trade cleared your checklist.
Trade journal
Every trade, and what your rules said about it.
Instrument, strategy, direction, entry, exit, stop, target, size, how long you held, how far it ran against you and how far it ran for you. Screenshots before and after, your own tags, your own note. Sort it, filter it, save the filter, export it.
- Search across instrument, note, tag and strategy, with date ranges and session filters
- Save a filter set you keep coming back to and re-apply it with one tap
- Up to eight screenshots per trade, and up to forty fills per trade
- Export exactly what you filtered, never the whole account by accident
Analytics
Read your edge, and read your discipline, on one page.
Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, average win and loss, best and worst run, the shape of your results. Then the part that matters: how much of the move you actually captured, what you left on the table, and how much heat you sat through to get it.
- Break it down by instrument, session, weekday, strategy or how long you held
- Every breakdown ranks by whether you followed your rules, never by win rate
- Windows of 30, 90 or 365 days, and a CSV export of whatever you are looking at
- Click any figure to drop straight into the trades behind it
Weekly review
What do I carry into next week?
One page for the Sunday sit down. Days traded, trades taken, rules kept. The single rule you skipped most and how often. The trades where the gate failed, ranked by the break itself, so a losing trade you took by the book never shows up here.
- Last seven days or last thirty, whichever your routine runs on
- Your mistake tags ranked by how often they cost you the checklist
- An empty list is the goal, and it says so when you get there
- Optional weekly and monthly review emails, sent at 08:00 your time
Compare
This month against last. This setup against that one.
Pick a dimension — period, instrument, strategy, session, tag or direction — then put two sides next to each other. Compliance, win rate when you cleared, win rate when you broke, average R on both.
- The payoff line: which of your rules gave way, and by how many points
- Sorted by the gap, so the thing that changed is the first thing you read
- Warns you plainly when the two sides are not comparable
- Works on any window you can filter to
Calendar
A month you can read in one second.
Every day gets a colour, and the colour is decided by your rules. Nothing else. Kept everything is green, one slip is amber, two or more is red, and a day you deliberately stayed out keeps your streak alive.
- Weekends never break a streak on a weekdays contract
- Week totals, month totals, and a CSV export of the whole month
- Close a day you missed, up to seven days back, marked honestly as filled in later
- With the money layer on, a lens toggle puts the result inside the cell — never on it
Insights
The pattern you would never have spotted yourself.
Which rule you break most. What you were feeling before you broke it. Which day of the week your discipline goes, which instrument it goes on, and how often breaking a rule still worked out.
- A heatmap of rule following, not of how often you traded
- Your setups, each with how many were taken by the book
- Emotion patterns: every feeling you went in with, and what it did to your rules
- Your best day for discipline, your weakest day, and your most active one
Playbook
Your setups, with their own checklists.
A strategy in Traily is not a label, it is a set of criteria. Entry criteria, exit criteria, or whatever groups you name yourself. Pick that strategy in the gate and its rules join your contract's rules on the same checklist.
- Accounts live here too: live, prop evaluation, funded or demo, each its own book
- Type your prop firm's daily loss limit, drawdown and target, and get warned in time
- Tags for what went wrong and labels for what simply was, kept apart on purpose
- Archive a rule instead of deleting it, so old trades keep the meaning of their verdict
Notebook
Everything you have ever written, searchable.
Weekly reviews, levels, lessons, plans. Folders carry a template so every new note starts in your own format. And it reads back your day reflections and your trade notes too, so one search covers everything you wrote.
- Full text search across notes, day reflections and trade notes at once
- Autosave while you type, with date filters and your own sort order
- Yours alone: the notebook is never shared with a buddy or a team
- Open a note straight from the day or the trade it belongs to
The gate
The thirty seconds before you click.
This is the part no imported file can ever give you. Before you enter, you pass your own list: your contract's rules plus the criteria of the setup you picked. Tick everything and you are cleared to trade.
Tick most of it and the trade still gets logged, marked for exactly what it was. An honest break is worth far more to you in three weeks than a clean sheet that never happened.
- Say how you feel first, and if the answer is risky the app makes you sit out sixty seconds
- A built in position size calculator that always rounds down
- Trading a prop account? It warns you when you are running out of room, and never shows the day's P&L
- Afterwards: the result, the feeling, the note and the screenshots
The routine
Three moments in a day. Two of them take seconds.
Before you trade
Which market, how you actually slept, how you actually feel, and the limits you set for the day. It ends with an honest question: are you calm and on plan, or trying to make it back?
Before each trade
Your own checklist, one rule at a time. Cleared, or an honest break. This is the heart of the product and the only thing here you cannot get from a broker export.
At the end
One tap to confirm what your trades already said. Only this moves the streak, and a day you deliberately stayed out counts as discipline, not as a gap.
Every day gets a colour, decided by your rules
Import
Bring your history with you. Any broker, any prop firm.
Export a CSV from your broker or your prop firm platform and map the columns once. There is no list of supported brokers because there is nothing to support: if it exports a file, Traily reads it.
If your file is an order log rather than a trade list, Traily matches the fills into round trips for you, tells you which positions were still open, and shows you the exact time window the file covers so you can spot a partial export.
- Several files at once, or dragged straight onto the page, with duplicate rows removed
- Column mapping guessed from your headers and changeable on any field
- Filed under the right account, and optionally tagged with a strategy
- Imported trades always show as never gated, never as cleared and never as a rule break
Together
Alone is harder. So bring one person, or bring the whole room.
Two separate layers, on purpose. One is the person you chose. The other is the room you stand in. Neither of them ever sees a number with a currency in front of it.
Your buddy
One person watches your discipline. Their streak, their compliance, their day colours, the rules they signed and the one they break most. Per trade, they can choose to show you the screenshot and the note, never the result.
- One directional by default: accepting an invite gives them nothing of yours
- Send a one tap encouragement, or write your own
- Agree a seven, fourteen or thirty day pact and watch both meters move
Your team
A join code, up to twenty five people, and a board that counts who closed their day rather than who had a good one. An honest red day counts in full, so nobody in the room has a reason to lie about it.
- Deliberately not a leaderboard: two neutral groups that reset every day
- Applaud somebody who closed, or nudge somebody who has not
- Built for a trading community, a prop desk or a mentor's group
The line we do not cross
Never your P&L
Traily has a money layer and it is switched off until you switch it on. Even then it stays inside your own journal. It is structurally banned from four places, on purpose and permanently.
- Your buddy and your team never see an amount, a result or a win rate
- Your streak, your day colours and your compliance are never touched by money
- Your levels and certificates never carry a figure
- We never connect to your broker or your bank, so there is nothing to leak
- Money answers one question only: what did breaking my rules cost me
Your data stays yours
Download everything you have ever written as a single JSON file, or any screen as CSV. Delete your account and it is gone, not archived. Sign in with a link in your email, so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal.
Runs where you do
One app on the web, on iOS and on Android, in light or dark. Every screen has a real URL, so the link you send a buddy opens exactly where you meant it to.

Community
Built in the open, with the people using it.
There is a Discord where the founder sits and where traders help each other keep their word. Bring a bug, bring an idea, bring the feature you cannot work without. Most of what is in Traily today started as somebody's message in there.
Tips, feedback and complaints all welcome. Especially the complaints.
Questions
Do I have to connect my broker?
No, and you cannot. Traily has no connection to any broker or bank and never will. You bring your trades in through the gate as you take them, or through a CSV you export yourself. There is nothing sitting between Traily and your money.
Is it a journal or a discipline tracker?
Both, and that is the point. You get the full journal: trades, analytics, review, compare, calendar, notebook, playbook, import and export. What is different is that every trade also carries a verdict on whether you followed your own rules, and that verdict is what the streak and the day colours are built on.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It is one app on the web, on iOS and on Android. The web version needs no install and no App Store account, so you can open it on a work laptop. Two things are browser only for now: importing a CSV and downloading a certificate.
I trade a prop firm evaluation. Does that fit?
It is what most of it was built around. Set up the account as an evaluation or a funded account, type in your firm's daily loss limit, drawdown and target, and Traily warns you inside the gate when you are running out of room. It never shows you the day's P&L while you are deciding.
What can my buddy or my team actually see?
Your streak, your compliance, your day colours, the rules you signed and which one you break most. Never an amount, never a result, never a win rate. Per trade you can choose to share a screenshot and your note, and that is the most anyone ever sees.
Will it stay free?
It is free while we are building it, and everything is included in that. When there is a paid plan we will say so here first and we will not take away what you already rely on without telling you.
Can I get my data out?
Any time, without asking. A single JSON export of everything you have ever written, plus a CSV export on every screen that lists anything. Deleting your account deletes it, it does not archive it.
Write your rules. Keep your word.
Sign a contract for the next seven, thirty, sixty or ninety days, and find out how many of them you can keep.
